Weinbrand Bohnen. (cf. waste of perfectly good chocolate) Responsible for many, MANY unpleasant childhood gustatorial moments. There’s a box of these in the corner that once held all the office Xmas goodies. Unsurprisingly, these stealth nasties have lingered long past the lifespan of all the non-disgusting treats. Popular with Germans, though, which I see fitting, since they were probably invented by the Nazis. Who else could hate life so much as to fill chocolates with liquor?
