Thumbs-down for tech support nightmare calls; I don’t find frustration and anger funny. I also don’t appreciate the condescension that is inherent in a lot of these cases – a lot of the techies I’ve known are the type to make themselves feel smarter by making their charges feel small. Luckily, I’m a Mac user, and as clichd as it sounds it really is a more communal, helpful environment for support, both technical and moral. 😀 The techiest of my Mac user friends tend to direct their abuse towards the show-offs who insist on talking in code – acronyms and “speeds and feeds.” Stereotypically helpful Mac-user tip: If ever you find yourself being asked your level of LRF compliance, your ego is about to be deflated.
