I’ve been through the ringer at work lately after accepting a temporary position in another department to pick up some new skills. My boss has chosen to read a personal insult into my leaving his group, and responds first by accusing me of neglecting my work (I’ve been working through lunches and staying late for 2 months), then yesterday of deliberately destroying customer orders (which turned out to be due to the incompetence of my two fellow coworkers). There was no personal insult intended at the start, but from here on in I am doing nothing to help (or hinder) him and his train wreck of a department. The slack can pick up its damn self.
