There has got to be a word in some language for the emotion of:
Having watched and listened to a video clip of oneself playing music, one realizes that though playing and singing is the joy of one’s life, the reason one gets up in the morning, the thing that is always worthwhile and never worse than no music at all…
one really needs to keep one’s day job.
if “schadenfreude” weren’t already taken, I’d use it for this emotion too.
