An admissory Word of the Moment, as I just realised I’ve been misspelling exhilarate. And what a crime to bog down any sentence with such an uplifting verb at its core!
Exhilarate, tr.v.
1. To cause to feel happily refreshed and energetic; elate.
2. To invigorate; stimulate.
[Latin exhilarre, exhilart- : ex-, intensive pref.; see ex- hilarre, to make cheerful (from hilaris, hilarus, cheerful, from Greek hilaros).]
