I’m catching up on popular reaction to the iPhone. This NY Times piece is a bit dry, but I did love this quote:

“It’s like they read our minds,” said David Myers, executive chef at Sona restaurant in Los Angeles and chief executive of the Food Arts Group, where the employees currently use the Treo smartphone from Palm. “This is the next step in not accepting poor design any longer.”

Longstanding Apple users will identify greatly with that thought. New iPod owners are beginning to get it too. Here’s hoping the iPhone is as hugely successful in winning converts to the cause of usability and class.
