Member benefits include having to spend money to do anything on the site, and getting spam emails several times a month, despite clicking the “unsubscribe” option in your account!
Seriously, this is a textbook case of how not to design a website and/or service. As much as I hate the popularity-driven Facebook, at least that’s all free, and allows you to contact these old forgotten friends without having to cough up for “credits”. While I hope Facebook mops the floor with Classmates, I shudder to think of what the spam will be like when Classmates starts getting panicky about market share and a huge decline in revenue.
