L’affaire Imus is yet another “entertainment” non-story, but my reasons for wishing it to be over swiftly go beyond my dislike of the American media. Don Imus is rather a scary looking man. Like a love child of Secessionist Senator John C. Calhoun and Chief Justice Roger B. Taney – both of whom would have agreed wholeheartedly with the nappy-headed hos comment that started this whole (visually) unpleasant mess.
