Canada’s Black Heart – New York Times

Will Ferguson has long been on my to-read list. Reviews of his Canadiana books imply that his love of history and sense of humour will appeal greatly to me. If this NYTimes editorial is any indication, they do indeed.

Lord Black wasn’t burned in effigy for his apostasy, but he did greatly irk a lot of his former fellow citizens. And there is nothing so frighteningly passive-aggressive as a well-irked Canadian.
