While I normally refuse to positively rate MySpace sites, I’ll give a provisional thumbs-up for Ceylan Delikanli. She opened for Darren last night, and I quite liked her Martha-Wainwright-in-the-ether style, but her live performance needs some work: She insisted on sitting in the dark to perform, and “ended” each song by fidding with her tuning instead of giving the audience any clarity on when to clap. Fix those two issues, and I’d be thrilled to see her again (or, if the lights are up, for the first time, really!)
