Jack Black and Mos Def recreate some of Hollywood’s greatest films. Has potential, but will likely squander it quickly once the credits fade. Having said that, if you’re going to make a film made entirely of film-references, you could do worse than cast Jack Black. One wonders, though, what the real movie’s budget was? Were millions of dollars required for such a low-fi look?
