Thomas W. “Tom” Ewing is a former Republican member of the United States House of Representatives and the Illinois State House of Representatives… While a U.S. Congressman, Thomas Ewing was considered to be a Libertarian-leaning Conservative, favoring a smaller less intrusive government, but more on economic issues than on social ones.

In December 2000 he introduced the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 which created the Enron loophole and legalized Credit default swaps.

This guy is responsible for the two biggest economic blowouts of the past, what, 30 years? I say we throw him into a volcano to appease the money gods.
