Tips for designing a good button

- As the button face is quite small, it’s best to pick photos or designs that are bold or brightly colored, with lots of contrast. Full photos or paintings are too large, but details or specific faces within them look terrific.
- For a very eye-catching and artistic look, use image editing software to make a “stencil” of your photograph. (There’s a great tutorial here that shows how easy this is!)
- Bold designs work very well on bright or pastel paper backgrounds. We can provide these for free upon request.
- Limit your text – the bolder the statement, the, uh, bolder the statement!
