BoingBoing today waxes enthusiastic about the Vigeland sculpture park in Oslo. I once did the same thing, but that was before I finally got to visit it. Unfortunately, it sounds much cooler (in terms of popularity) than it is – the reality was, it’s cold (in terms of emotion). The sculptures had a creepy feel to them, and reminded me very much of the Nazi statues I saw in Berlin’s old Olympic Park. This was one of the great disappointments of my trip.
