Even more so than counselling (which she needs desperately) this woman needs a hug – though any such offer would likely be construed as sinful or lustful. How sad that someone wastes their entire life in fear and self-loathing, believing themselves “a worm, a cancer” and looking forward only to the afterlife, i.e. death. Even sadder that people like this invariably impose and/or project their joyless beliefs onto others who find happiness in anything that doesn’t adhere to the variable Christian standard of acceptability; Of a nephew who excels at poetry, she believes he needs to be “masculinized.” I pity this woman, as her hurt is so close to the surface yet she can’t identify it at all. A perfect summary of her shrill panic is found in Corinthians, though I’m guessing her Bible is more heavily bookmarked in Revelations. If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.

I have several young bloggers who come here who at first confused me. For instance, there is Peter, a very young man with the blog called “Bernal Jernal.” Peter is a normally polite and very handsome young person. In fact, Peter is exactly like some of the boys I used to get crushes on when I was a young girl, before the Lord delivered me from the path of lust.
