Free tomato seeds for the price of a SASE? What a great idea.
To use a rather appalling analogy, tomatoes are the cockroaches of the gardening world. The seeds can be kept in circumstances that counter all seed-keeping logic, they will grow in almost any soil type, and even the worst-tended plant will result in at least a handful of delicious fruits.
My own gardening efforts have resulted in a lot of dead plants, but I’ve earned tomatoes from every single seed I’ve started.
