Train Song (cover) feat. Kiersten Holine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0z6c35bVWs Here’s one of Jeff Pianki’s self-accompaniment videos, as promised. This one’s like a super-happy-bonus vid, because not only do you get Jeff’s incredible multi-instrumentation and vocals, you also get his friend Kristen Holine (who, boys, is not hard on the eyes) and her haunting voice.

Multiple Sidosis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cRZmvr-2QM And here’s Mr. Laverents’ film: MULTIPLE SIDOSIS. It takes a few minutes to get going, but it’s worth it to hear Adelaide nag him about the ribbons, and to remember that – in the days before the Internet – gratification was not an instantaneous thing. It’s also fun to realise that this guy is […]

The Clientele covers M.I.A. | Video | A.V. Undercover | The A.V. Club

http://www.avclub.com/articles/mia,38870/ I’ve listened to the original MIA song, and songs by The Clientele, and can’t stand either, yet there’s no denying the magic in this cover. Great job, whisper-folkies!

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x30dzv_chanson-de-craonne_events Reasons I love the Internet #13895793: Reading about a French anti-war song on IMDB, and five seconds later being able to find a rendition complete with period photography. We really are spoiled for information – isn’t it wonderful?

Amazing choir (Perpetuum Jazzile) uses their hands to simulate storm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05ip-N0H1Ig Ignore the appalling grammar and spelling in the title, and ignore the fact that the choir manages to “whiten up” the already WASP-y “Africa”, by Toto: The intro alone makes it a worthwhile watch. (Thanks to Frannyy, who always finds the good stuff.)
