Reading this interview with 60s star Donovan made me feel closer to my father. You see, as a hooligan 5-year old, Dad used to beat the tar out of Donovan (the explanation, when I asked why, was: “His name was Donovan Leitch…”) After reading his somewhat moony, self-aggrandising words, I felt like punching him in the face too.
