EliEli stumbles a history of the Trabant, whose company (or maybe customers’) motto should have been “determination through adversity.”

I saw many of these endearing little putt-putts whilst strolling in Berlin, and took a shine to them. In ’98 Berlin was growing incredibly fast, and seemed determined to wipe away as much of the former East as it could. The Trabis were some of the few reminders of Berlin’s very different, yet very recent past.
