Free swimming with Great Whites. Watched, for the most part, through my fingers*.
I’m of two minds about this video: I give full credit to the divers for proving that Great Whites are not the sure-death, lethal monsters that their reputation suggests. However, I would have had little sympathy for them if one of the sharks had turned around to “mouth” the little floating thing that kept annoying him. To quote Wedge, LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING. Does anyone honestly believe the diver’s pointed stick would’ve kept a curious shark at bay?
* Though I would’ve preferred to save them for stuffing in my ears; Why is it that 90% of the videos on YouTube are soundtracked with emo/drone-rock crap?
