If it’s racist stereotypes you’re into, then I’d like to add my own illustration for the “queue” analogy, as I experienced too much of the German propensity for line-cutting (or neo-Lebensraum, as I dubbed it) last year to be willing to abide these comparative jokes:
During the three-quarters of an hour I spent in line for the Paris Holocaust memorial, I witnessed an identical couple – tall, blonde, immaculately dressed and disdainful of lineups – give the queue one bored glance, then walk straight to the head, where they were (thankfully) rebuffed by the guard. Talk about living up to your stereotypes!
