An interesting – if ghoulish – piece for Civil War or Lincoln buffs: In-depth examinations of Alexander Gardner’s photos of the conspirators’ execution. Some details that were new to me, such as one of the executioners becoming ill during the event, and the presence of a young drummer boy in the audience.
