Sarah Palin “resigns” (like she won’t come back in an even more annoying venue – talk show, anyone?), citing one of the least coherent political arguments ever:

She said she had decided against running for re-election as Alaska’s governor, and believed it was best to leave office even though she had two years left to her term.

“Many just accept that lame duck status, and they hit that road. They draw a paycheck. They kind of milk it. And I’m not going to put Alaskans through that,” she said.

Sorry, isn’t Alaska a deeply Republican state? Which of your “initiatives” does she fear will be blocked? Or is she just ready to move on after ticking the “become state governor” on her list of things to do?

This woman repulses me. By stressing her credentials as a female politician while acting the homemaker mom to pander to her supporters, this airhead/figurehead bimbo is setting back legitimate women’s leadership candidacies.
