The Leader of the Opposition, Jack Layton, died this week, just a few months after leading his party to the best results they’ve ever seen. I wasn’t a huge fan of the man – he never met a photo opportunity he didn’t take – but there’s no denying that his heart was in the right place, and that his message reached a lot of people.
This was the scene outside City Hall yesterday, before the rainstorm washed away four days of chalk messages.
