The following is a “healthy food hot list” consisting of the 29 food that will give you the biggest nutritional bang for you caloric buck, as well as decrease your risk for deadly illnesses like cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Along with each description is a suggestion as to how to incorporate these power-foods into your diet.

This is encouraging! I began reading the list with my hands covering my eyes – not being a vegetable lover I figured there wouldn’t be much that appealed to me. But spinach (#15) is one of the few unpalatable items on here, and the rest all make frequent appearances on my plate.

(NB: Since the rest of the list went my way, I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that the 30th food is chocolate.)
