I saw an article about Brad Pitt’s birthday celebration at Fallingwater (what a neat way to observe an anniversary!) and was immediately intrigued. Not only because I’d love to see this iconic home, but also because I was under the impression it was closed to the public. Unfortunately, the tour specifics aren’t fully disspelling my false impression. Check out the restrictions they place on visitors who have paid for a tour of the building! No photography permitted for one, still photography only for another? The word “copyright” isn’t mentioned, but I bet that’s the argument they’ll use. The only other excuse in these situations is homeland security, but I doubt highly if a terrorist attack on a remote Frank Lloyd Wright home will terrorise any Americans but those who read a lot about architecture. At any rate, it’s annoying.
