After it showed up on a bunch of AV Club writers’ end of year best-ofs, I gave Homeland a try. HOLY CRAP. I’m not a TV viewer who can resist spoilers, usually, but I held off with this show until the last episode, when I was so wracked with tension I had to surrender to Wikipedia just to calm my frayed nerves. Fantastic show, fantastically written and acted. Can’t wait to see what they tackle in Season 2. In the meantime, the AV Club has a walkthrough of Season 1 with one of the writers. A poor man’s director’s commentary, if you will. Worth reading, but only once you’ve watched the show – here be spoilers, after all…
