The Moon, Venus and Jupiter over Los Angeles (Images &Pictures)
http://yawoot.com/post/2073 The Moon, Venus and Jupiter over Los Angeles Light pollution aside, how beautiful is this?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081008/en_nm/us_butler_1 “Gerard Butler accused of punching photographer.” The photographer seems upset about this – apparently ignorant of the fact that this is how Glaswegians say hello.

http://funnbee.info/2008/08/playing-with-moon.html These playful moon photos are a delight.
digital-artist-toolbox.com
http://digital-artist-toolbox.com/?p=24 I’ve seen a lot of underwhelming examples of this photographic trick, the “tilt-shift”, but these blow them all away. Apart from incredible attention to detail, not often in such evidence for hobbyists, these are indistinguishable from toys or miniatures.

http://flabbergastedly.com/?p=96 Brought to my attention by my pal Mike, (whose learned commentary is worth the jump, so I won’t even try to steal it), this page of anthropomorphised inanimate objects has vaulted onto my Top 5 Favourite Things on the Internets list*. *Not a real list.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X27XDC/ref=nosim/kkorg-20 The best “you got chocolate in my peanut butter” invention I’ve seen in a while: A wireless SD card. Mind officially blown.
Elizabeth Soule Photography
http://www.esoule.com/gallery/72157601499545165 Super-squeeful “zoo” comprising miniature animal toys posed on backgrounds. Witty and twee, and an excellent entry for my Giraffe Frenzy collection.
Great Wall 360 degree panorama at Jinshanling
http://www.sleeponthegreatwall.com/qtvr/great_wall_jinshanling_sunset.html The first time I encountered a QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) movie, my mind was officially blown. Thinking back now, though, the early versions were blocky, pixellated, jumpy and basically products of their time. Now, with better cameras and smoother processing, we get this. My mind is officially pink-misted.

http://www.art-dept.com/artists/rankin/portfolio/specialprojects/eyescapes/portfolio.html?source=20i Eyecatching (*ahem*) artwork. Michael Snow did this first, years ago, but it’s still beautiful.
